The 3rd ice cube has a smooth surface and melts very slowly

The ice cube with sugar has a slightly rough surface and it melts a little less quickly

The ice cube with salt has a rough surface and melts very fast

The three ice cubes melt in very different ways because......salt and sugar make the water work in a strange way. We are not quite sure why this happens. The salt and sugar do something to the water but we are undecided.
