What is measles ?

THE STORY

The first description of measles dates from the 10th century by Abu Bakr Mohammmed Ibn Zakariya Al - Razi or Rhazes, a persian scholar.
The disease was until then confused with smallpox. Measles struck Europe for centuries, in waves of epidemics and wreaked havoc. In 2000, measles was declared eliminated, but some outbreaks have occured simply because people are not vaccinated.
