Intention: This workshop allowed participants to understand the differences among the concepts of Sex, Sexual Identity, and Gender Identity. Intention: The focus of this workshop was on behaviour challenges in SI, SVI, and adult ed contexts. More specifically, how to analyze, predict, and support students in crisis. The workshop covered severely challenging behaviours, multimodal (or bio-psycho-social) approach, de-escalation grids, positive approach, and anxiety/coping strategies. Trauma-Informed PedagogyApril 13, 2022

Intention: Personal trauma is a factor that affects learning. This workshop explored the implementation of trauma informed approaches with adult students and some of the mitigating effects of trauma: increasing resilience, perseverance, and achievement. Special Guest Speaker: Roger Rampersad (LBPSB)
