How to Use This Template(Delete this once finished!)

Enter Final Combination

This is the Genially template you will use to build your treasure hunt. If you're new to Genially and would like to learn the basics, access the Genially Student Startup Guide. Feel free to email Mr. Flaskamp (flaskampj@friscoisd.org) if you need additional help. OBJECT Your objective is to use eight clues to help other groups guess your treasure. (Clue #9 is where participants will actually make their guess.) Solving a clue earns one digit of a nine-digit numerical combination. Once participants have all nine digits, they can click on the Enter Final Combination button. If they enter the correct combination, the safe will open, and they will earn the treasure. CLUES It is up to your group to create eight clues for other groups to solve. Clues must use each of these formats at least one time: • mathematical/numerical clue • image clue (not just an image of the treasure) • video clue • audio clue • riddle or rhyme The pages in this template allow you to insert images, video, audio, links, and even embed Web content, so be creative with your clues and their presentation! Once your group has determined the solution to a clue, change the password for the "Clue _ Solution" page to match that solution. On the solution page, provide one digit of the nine-digit final combination. Repeat this process with each clue. CLUE #9 Clue #9 is different from the others because it will be the same for every group. To solve Clue #9, other groups will need to correctly identify the treasure. This will give them the final number of the combination. WINNING THE GAME When other groups click the Enter Final Combination button, they will be taken to a screen where they must enter the final nine-digit combination. Your group must change the final combination from the default (123456789) to whatever your final combination ends up being. If other groups get the final combination right, they will be taken to the Congratulations page, where your group has included an image of the treasure along with a congratulations message. This screen is the one you must screenshot and submit in order to receive credit for completing this assignment.

Clue #1

Present the clue to your participants on this page. Remember, the clue must be based on your knowledge and research to guide other groups to figure out what your treasure is. Choose from the list of formats below. You must use each format at least once. This page allows you to add images, videos, audio, links, and even embed Web content.

  • mathematical/numerical clue
  • image clue (not just an image of the treasure)
  • video clue
  • audio clue
  • riddle or rhyme

The solve button takes participants to the next page, which gives one digit of the final combination. The catch is that the page is password-protected. To see it, participants must enter the solution to your clue. Be sure to change the password to the correct answer! (Right now, it's 123.)
