Purpose

Led by journalists this organisation wants to help schoolchildren and teachers in Europe to become lie detectors.

Pupils learn how to be critical thinkers and understand fake news and disinformation in the media.

Lie Detector especially supports pupils to fact-check online content, understand news media and resist peer pressure.

Lie Detector also helps teacher to understand the risk of digital media.

Three interesting things

The first intersting thing that I learned is of course that this organisation exists. I was not aware that there is such an intersting and helpful website and am generally happy about this.

Three interesting things I learned

Number 1

The second intersting thing that I learned is that even pupils in primary schools can do workshops and seminars with this organisation. To start media awareness at such a young age is great in my opinion!

The third intersting thing that I learned is that this organisation even offers webinars and I am particularly interested in the Event: Building Resilience. Disinformation and Literacy in an Age of Digital Transformation on July 8, 16:00 CET

Help for eTwinning

This organization provides teacher-training seminar and workshops.

In my opinion, this project is great for eTwinning because pupils have to be online for an eTwinning project and it is therefore necessary to know how to deal with media and possible dissinformation. With the help of this organization pupils will not be vulneralbe to fake news anymore.
