treatment
Can be easily treated at home with rest, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and plenty of fluids. You only need to see a GP if your symptoms are severe or unusual.
1. Long-term asthma control medications, generally taken daily, are the cornerstone of asthma treatment. 2. Quick-relief (rescue) medications are used as needed for rapid, short-term symptom relief during an asthma attack. 3. Allergy medications may help if your asthma is triggered or worsened by allergies.

complications
-Severe shortness of breath;-COPD;-Respiratory failure;-An increased mortality rate.
-Signs and symptoms that interfere with sleep, work and other activities;-Sick days from work or school during asthma flare-ups;-A permanent narrowing of the tubes that carry air to and from your lungs (bronchial tubes), which affects how well you can breathe.
