• flexible (can be formed into different shapes)
• plastic lasts really long is flexible
• easy to transport, not really heavy
• can be recycled--> lower costs

WHY IS PLASTIC BEING PRODUCED?

• Dangerous for the workers: explosions, chemical fires, chemical spill, clouds of toxic vapor
• decomposition takes a very long time ( up to 500 years)
• plastic ends up in the oceans --> kills/harms animal
• plastic production contributes to greenhouse gas emissions

What probllem can plastic pollution cause?

Germany gets its plastic products by cargo ships and planes. Most of these come from China. However, Germany also produces some of its own products.
