Area of Responsibility
My area of responsibility ranges from a lot of different areas… Starting at Access Management over to Incident Management, ServiceDesk and Warehouse Management.
- Access Management
In Access Managment my role was to create and maintain the User Accounts of employees and grant them Access to the different Applications needed for their Line of work.
- Incident Management
Incident Managment revolvse around the different Problems that the Employees can not fix on their own. It begins with me helping with simple tasks like changing cables or reinstalling a program to harder tasks like diagnosing a corupted BIOS.
If it comes to Simple questions or easy problems the Service Desk hotline can help you fix it and if they can't they will help you create the appropriate ticket and send it to the right department, where there are people with more indept knowledge.
- Warehouse Management
For ever piece of Hardware that gets bought, i will have to create a entry in our Database, and store it in the correct part of our Warehouse I also have to prepare Hardware for Incident Managment so they can work on their Tickets.
The Goal of this project was to reactivate inactive Machines and replace the ones that were broken due to no maintanance.
I was given 1 Week to collect the machines in the whole Architect department, deploy the system on them and reinstall the machine in their respective place that i took them from.
In this project I increased my knowledge in the deployment of Software with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
Supporting the Team
One of my smaller but more recurring tasks is to replace Team members that have to stay in home office, get sick or dont have enough time.
The most recent one was having to replace the Warehouse manager, so I was responsible for the whole Warehouse management with his help over Microsoft Teams.
Another time we moved Offices and I was in charge of guiding the moving Company through our old Office and telling them what we needed in the new Office.
With these tasks I improved my leadership skills, learned how to take responsibility and while doing so I also gained the trust of my leaders and team in my abbilities.
Database Analysis Website
Here I was supposed to extract Data from a Windows Database and insert it into a MySQL Database using PHP and then Display that extracted Data onto a Website.
I was given a Server that hosted a Webservice aswell as the Databases. On this Server I would have to create a PHP-Script that fired Daily to extract the Data and Insert it into the new Database. which then would be accessible via the Website which i also made using PHP.
Prior to this project i havent used PHP and had to learn it in the process.
