SACC in the app
Homekit installed devices are controlled solely through Homekit.
(Customer does not need the tado app)
even if it is actually in the same physical room as other tado SACCs or tado° heating devices
In Standard Mode, the Smart AC Control sends the desired target temperature and settings to the AC. The AC directly controls and maintains the room temperature based on the temperature it measures and the target temperature set on tado°. This is the tado°-recommended control mode for most cases.
The Ac modulates how much Power it uses
This button allows you to activate
the different modes off the AC.
The 5 Buttons show all supported
Modes if the SACC was installed in standard mode.
See help center for more details:

This button is used to change the fan level,
The Standard mode supports 3 different levels
as well as "Auto" and fan off
Here you can control the swing function of the AC.
In standard mode this is a simple on/Off toggle.
If the Ac supports multiple swing states the preferred
state should be selected via the old remote
And tado° will only switch it on or off.
This button is used to turn the AC on or off.
If the AC was cooling/heating it will go into a standby mode,
It will not turn itself off unless this button is used.
This is a slider for manual control. This slider will change into an overview
of which additional settings are active when a manual command is active,
as well as a button to return to the schedule
Here you can see the current setpoint.
the current temperature and humidity are shown
at the bottom of the screen below the buttons.
In Thermostat Mode, the Smart AC Control directly controls your AC. tado° acts as a room thermostat and measures the current room temperature. It also switches your AC on and off to maintain the temperature you've set on tado°.
The AC always runs on the lowes/highest setting for heating and cooling
In Thermostatic mode, this button is a toggle to switch between the heat and cool mode of the AC.
The Ac will heat or cool with the highest/lowest setting until the tado° device measures the desired temperature.
You can set an acceptance range of how precisely tado° should maintain the temperature.
Use this link for more info on the acceptance range

There is no control over the Fan levels they have to be set to the desired level with the old remote
There is no control over the swing state of the Ac in Thermostatic mode

the current temperature and humidity are shown
at the bottom of the screen below the buttons.
This is the same as in Standard mode minus both swing states and fan levels as this information is not known to tado° in thermostatic mode and solely depends on the old Remote
In Synthetic Mode, the Smart AC Control sends the desired target temperature and settings to your AC. Your AC directly controls and maintains the room temperature based on the temperature exactly like it works in the old Standard Mode.
There are more available buttons in synthetic mode so the bottom part of the UI becomes scrollable.
Some Functions are currently only available in the App and not on the Device UI
The light option is only available when having the Synthetic mode and it refers to switching on or off the screen of the AC's display. if the AC does not have one, clicking on this icon will not have any actual influence on the AC.
(This icon is displayed to the right of the swing icons you need to scroll to get to it)
*The differentiation between vertical and horizontal swing is only available when configured in Synthetic mode. When set to Standard mode, there is only a general swing option.
There are two more fan levels supported in Synthetic mode bringing the total to 5 levels plus Auto and Off
All the same Modes from the standard mode are also here

This slider will change into an overview of which additional settings are active when a manual command is active,
as well as a button to return to the schedule. Same as in standard mode but due to Ui limitations, not all settings are shown in the mobile app only the ones that are also shown in standard mode.
