Make it yours! Our community is the heart of everything we hope to achieve with The Roxy. While we have a whole host of things to offer, we're excited to hear your thoughts as well. The Roxy is and will always be a place for everyone, and we can't wait to work with you.
Renovation! We need a little TLC. The building is as solid as a rock, but we have some exciting upgrades planned. Making the building accessible is a priority, so installing a lift is top of the list! We're also going to open up all the many unused spaces for public use.
Secure the building! The Roxy has an uncertain future and has been on the market for several years now. The good news, though? We can sustain ourselves. Once we own the building, we'll be able to keep the lights on and the doors open, no matter what!

our team
We've already received a generous donation from Ulverston Town Council and have multiple funding applications in the works, including an application to the government's Community Purchase Fund. We need your help to show that locals want to see The Roxy safe, secure and here to serve the community for years to come! That's why we've set a target of 10%.In the unlikely event we're unable to secure the building, anyone who donates will receive a full refund.

full STEAM Ahead
There's been much discussion on the importance of STEM in both education and the community. Well, we'd like to throw our support behind STEAM!* The Arts are an essential part of our daily lives, and without the freedom to indulge our imagination, there can be no inspiration for innovation.Along with our planned tech workshops (come learn how to build your own computer!) we'll be hosting a range of creative activities and sponsoring an Artist in Residence!
2024 -
Phase 3 begins!
2023
Phase 2 of Our Plan kicks in. This isn't going to be an overnight process, but we will keep you informed every step of the way.
2022-2023
If we smash our target (fingers crossed!) any money raised above and beyond the amount we need to purchase the building will go directly into renovations. We'll be keeping everyone up to date on what we're doing, how we're doing it and what we're spending via our social media channels, so be sure to keep an eye out!
2022
We finish fundraising and purchase the building, securing it for years to come.
what's next
In with the new!A new bar space in the cinema, and a flexible cafe space in the museum. We're here to capture the nostalgia of the past and bring it with us into an exciting future.
A place for everyone! Whether you're interested in the game and tech clubs we'll be running, fancy popping into the language cafe, or want to pick up a new skill, we'll be here to help!
SNEAK PEEK
Back to the good old days! One welcoming foyer with access to both the cinema and the museum - plus an official home for Ulverston's Tourist Information Point.
