Queen Elizabeth

Culture and traditions

It is a fact known all over the world, Tea Time is a really very important moment for the English.

In England, we do not celebrate independence or any revolution but rather St Georges Day.

Economic situation

the economy is recovering and is expected to return to pre-crisis levels by early 2022. Output growth is expected to rise to 6.9 percent in 2021, before slowing to 4.7 percent in 2022 and 2.1 percent in 2023.

Economic growth in the UK has slowed, and Brexit is partly to blame. The sharp depreciation of the pound following the referendum in June 2016 led to higher prices, with a negative effect on household budgets.

British society, like its European neighbours and most societies in world history, was traditionally (before the Industrial Revolution) divided hierarchically within a system that involved the hereditary transmission of occupation, social status and political influence

Social situations

English is the official language of the UK and it is estimated that 95% of the population speak it at a native level.

In addition, it is the most widely spoken language internationally, so there are many people, young and old, who travel to the UK capital just to learn it.
