The Mission

CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice.

We seek a world of hope, inclusion and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and all people live in dignity and security.

History

CARE was initially a consortium of twenty-two U.S. charities with the purpose of delivering food aid to Europe in the aftermath of World War II.
