Currywurst is a dish of fried or other boiled sausage served as a whole or sliced with a tomato-based sauce and curry powder or with a curry ketchup. It is considered to be part of the German cuisine.
Sauerkraut (especially in combination with bratwurst and hearty meats like Eisbein or Kassler) is known worldwide as the German national dish.
Spätzle is a very typical dish for the Swabian region. Mostly as a side dish , but also as a main course is eaten this pasta made from flour and fresh egg.
A Black Forest Cake is a cream cake that has spread since the 1930s, especially in Germany, and over time it became the most popular German cake. Today it is considered the classic German cake and is known all over the world.
Beef roulade is a traditional wrapped meat dish served mainly in Germany, Austria, Poland and Czech Republic.
The pretzel is a savoury or sweet pastry in the form of a symmetrically intertwined strand of dough. Its origins lie in the Middle Ages of the German-speaking countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, South Tyrol and Alsace).
The average per capita consumption of beer in Germany in 2020 is 92 liters making it the Germans' most favourite beverage.

A maypole is a decorated tree or tree trunk that is erected in North Rhine-Westphalia, (in Bavaria, in the Rhineland...) on May 1, in other regions also at Pentecost.
In Munich, a beer-drinking folk festival is held annually from the end of September to the beginning of October with 6 million visitors.
Generally, shooting festivals are held in summer or late spring. In any case, however, there is a shooting festival every year at every shooting club, where the new shooting king or the new shooting kings are celebrated.
Libori is an annually celebrated nine-day church and folk festival in Paderborn and one of the largest and oldest folk festivals in Germany. For the city of Paderborn it is the most important and traditional festival.
