CAPTAIN nemo
Who is captain nemo
Captain Nemo was an Indian, the Prince Dakkar
His father sent him to Europe
He is a brilliant genius, having created the Nautilus in the middle of the 19th Century, and powered it using a nuclear reactor a century before nuclear energy was discovered.
He has remorse which is mixed with a burning hate for the fact that the nation who enslaved him previously was responsible for subjecting him to extreme torture in an attempt to learn his scientific knowledge. When he refused, his wife and son were murdered, tortured to death. This haunted Nemo, and fuels his crusade and a desire for revenge.
The expedition leaves Brooklyn aboard the United States Navy frigate Abraham Lincoln, then travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean. After a five-month search ending off Japan, the frigate locates and attacks the monster, which damages the ship's rudder.
He tries to find Atlantis which is is a fictional island mentioned in an allegory on the hubris of nations in Plato's works Timaeus and Critias.
WHAT DID HE EXPLORE ?
Jules Verne: Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, The Mystery Island
Comic series: The adventures of captain nemo, Walt Disney comics
Naseeruddin Shah's movie: the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
and many more TV shoxs and movies
Disneyland Paris
A FICTIONAL CHARACTER
Despite these tragic losses, he rarely expresses his anger, so he looks like an optimist and determined person
Nemo is devoted to his crew and we get
attached to him
He may be inspired by a real person
''Nemo,'' means no one in Latin, he hides behind a persona
His ultimate goal is to find new spaces for humans. He is the perfect anti-hero.
