Our challenge: reduce paper waste in class

What do we use paper for in our class?

To draw

To give our phone number to a friend

For crafts

To paint

To learn how to write our name

To make books

To write letters

To write something we love

The amount of paper we threw in the paper bin over one week

Our thoughts:

"There are drawings of bears"

"There is a lot of paper"

"There are many drawings"

"There is a lot of paper cut into pieces"

Is that use of paper a problem?

"It's not a big deal because when you failed at something you have to throw it away"

"It's a big deal because you throw the paper in the bin and then it goes into the garbage truck"

"When you throw paper in the bin you waste it"

"It's not a problem, not a big deal at all"

"It's a problem because when I cut hearts for my Mom I throw them in the bin"

"You shouldn't use too much paper to avoid hurting the trees"

The challenge

Laurent and François asked to talk to us. IThey threw us a challenge to help save the planet. We accepted.We will try to find an idea to use less paper in class.In the end, we will have to vote for a solution.We need to send our solution for the 10th of November to Laurent.
