SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

We use the simple present tense when an action is happening right now, or when it happens regularly (or unceasingly, which is why it’s sometimes called present indefinite).

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Examples:

  • I like tennis but I don't like football.
  • I don't play the piano but I play the guitar.
  • They don't work at the weekend.
  • John doesn't live in Manchester.
  • Angela doesn't drive to work. She goes by bus.
