Hana Matsuri :

the "Flower Festival" and Buddha's Birthday is a Buddhist festival taking place on April 8. Throughout the day, in all Buddhist temples in Japan, a sweet tea called amacha or a drink called amazake is poured over the images or statuettes of Buddha.

Takayama Festivals :
The Takayama Spring Festival is held at Hie Shrine, also known as Sanno Shrine. It is held to solicit the gods in order to obtain good harvests.A parade of decorated floats, Thursday 14 and Friday 15 April

Yayoi Festival
Nikko's Yayoi Festival, during cherry blossom season, is an ancient festival that dates back to the 8th century. Its particularity: its floats decorated with sakura flowers, called hana yatai, which parade through the streets of the city to announce the arrival of spring.

On April 17, a total of eleven floats parade from Nikko's East and West districts and end up at Futarasan Jinja, one of the many UNESCO World Heritage-listed shrines and temples in Nikko.

Showa no hi
Shōwa no hi has been a public holiday in Japan since 1985, taking place on April 29. It commemorates the birthday of Hirohito, Emperor of Japan during the Shōwa era, between December 25, 1926 and January 7, 1989.
