Some of his class mates said “you’re not fast enough, you don’t kick far enough – you should just go and play with the girls”. 6. The parents ask Harry “Do you think the boys’ soccer team is better than the girl’s one?” then play Harry and his little sister a YouTube clip of the Matildas
5. The parents say “Well we don’t judge people by how well they can play soccer, that’s only one skill in life”, and leave it at that.
4. A parent says “we’ll show them!” and suggests they will do regular practice with Harry to improve his soccer skills.
C: The parents sit down with Harry and talk about how disappointment feels and share a similar story from their own lives.
B: A parent says “Stop crying, it’s just a part of life - stay away from those boys – ignore them, they are stupid”

5. The parent, when alone with their son, asks if he thinks using the word ‘woman’ like that was being respectful and have a talk about how it may have made his friend feel…
4. The parent demands to know where their son heard that expression then bans that person from their house!
3. The parent has a talk with the children about everyone being equal and points out that there are male nurses and dancers, and women astronauts and scientists – cooking is not necessarily a women’s responsibility.
