START
Today's theme
Today, we're going to talk about global warming
First, let's start with some historical explanations:
- related to the industrial activity
- "anthropogenic": of human origin
- IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change)
- "Svante Arrhenius" at the end of the 19th century
- release large amount of carbon into the atmosphere
- by burning coal, the air will charge in CO2 and retain more heat

=> The part of this energy that is not reflected by the atmosphere is absorbed by the Earth's surface wich warms up by absorbing it.
And now, let's explain it in a more scientific way!

Some greenhouse gases...
CH4
SF6
N2O
CO2
Its lifetime in the atmosphere is more than a hundred years.
The lifetime of methane in the atmosphere is of the order of 12 years.
Its lifetime is about 120 years.
It has a lifespan of 50.000 years in the atmosphere.

+ info
-it will disrupts the seasons, affecting animals (food chain)
-global warming causes drought that increase the risk of wild fire burning hectares of forest (like in Australia, for exemple).
What are the consequences then?
