• 6,5 square kilometers area
• 98.468 inhabitants
• Xhosa

• first Langa

• two more townships:

- Nyanga & Guguletu

• Blouvlei an area for white people

-> black people were relocated to Guguletu by the goverment

• district six

-> people from there were resettled to guguletu

• after apartheid 1994 humans setteld to guguletu to work in Cape Town

-very bad living conditions-they live in a tiny space -Township was not ready -sharing beds -unsaftey ->feeling separated/loss of communical sense/inferiority
