Frida Kahlo
Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907 in Mexico . She became famous for beautiful self-portraits. Her painting style was primitiveness. The most common topic was pain and physical suffering.
She was involved in a serious accident in which she was seriously injured and lost her motherhood. After the accident, she became interested in the painting and eventually dropped out of medical school.
The painter Diego Rivera had a great influence on the development of Frida. In 1939 painter showed her works at an exhibition in Paris. She died on July 13, 1959 in Coyoacán.
When she was a teenager, she was interested in boxing and attended boxing classes. In 1922 Frida joined to the most of important school in Mexico. She was one of only 35 girls attending this school.
