Definition of hearing impairment

To begin with, hearing impairment is the inability to hear as well as someone with normal hearing. Deafness is a communication disability that cannot be seen and that causes discomfort to the person who has it.People with hearing loss may have lost some of their hearing or be deaf. Deafness is when the person cannot hear at all.

Hearing impairment affects 5.2 million people or 13% of the working population worldwide. Hearing impairment is the main disability affecting the most people in the world. In France, an estimated 10 million people have hearing problems.

Physical consequences: fatigue, headaches, tinnitus, attention deficit, stress, loss of balance...
