Math & READING: inclusive strategies

Reading in mathematics should not be a barrier to the deveopment of adult learner's skills

CONTENT

Structure refers to the way the material is presented. The teacher can differentiate the order of the concepts to be taught and where the learning will take place.. We can also change the structure by varying the pedagogical strategies: learning by modelling, by peers, by problem solving, etc.

STRUCTURE

Process is the opportunity for students to learn the content. Process also includes learning and exploring available resources. Manipulative tools, digital tools and the pace of learning are all parts of the knowledge acquisition process. .

PROCESS

Production refers to how the adult learners will express their understanding. Can they explain it? Debate their ideas? Write it in a different way? Etc. Allowing the leaners to express their understanding in a number of ways allows for the mobilization of various forms of intelligence and increases cognitive flexibility.

PRODUCTION

Content refers to the concepts to be learned.. Creating and using accessible content will facilitate the acquisition of knowledge. The adult learner will be able to demonstrate their competencies better.
