Calgary international Airport
It was created in 1972. He is one of the most largest and busiest in Canada.
Turner Valley
Here is the first oil field discovered in 1914. It's far only few kilometers from Calgary.
After the economic development through agriculture, it was oil that really allowed the development of the city.
Agriculture
The agriculture was in the centre of the city in 1900's. The town is even nicknamed "Cow town". There are still a lot of cows thanks to the cattle breeding at the foot of the mountain near the town.
The boom in the cattle industry took place mainly between 1885 and 1894.
