Religion In Rhode Island Colony In The Road Island colony there was no religious freedom. They only practiced Christianity and they did not tolerate any other religion. They used Christianity a lot in their colony. they used it in schools and practiced it a lot. All of the colony was puritans. Religion was very important to them because they used it everyday. They also read the bible and used it for a way of life.

Climate Of Rhode Island Colony The climate was very cold in the Rhode Island colony. They had short summers. By having short summers that meant long winters. The cold climate made diseases spread easily so a lot of diseases spread around.The geography of the Rhode Island colony was flat rolling hills and lowlands. They also had mountains, thick trees, rivers and rocky soil. The soil there was unable to make crops and it was difficult to grow food.

Economy In Rhode Island Colony The Rhode island colony made their living by fishing, whaling and shipbuilding. Whale oil was a valuable resource as it could be used in lamps.The farming was difficult because the soil was not made for farming. They were able to make some money on corn, pumpkins, rye, squash and beans. The colony focused on the town and industries. They made ships and the manufacture and export of rum. They traded fish, whale products, shipping, shipbuilding, timber products, fur, maple syrup, copper, livestock products, horses, rum, whiskey and beer.

The Story Of Anne Hutchinson Anne Hutchinson was a mother of 15. She got banished out of the Massachusetts bay colony. She then later looked to find a new colony with Roger Williams. She then found a new colony with her husband William Coddington and her kids. She and Roger Williams founded Rhode Island which was inhabited by native Americans. Later her husband died at the age of 55. Hutchinson was left with her family which then died in a massacre all except one of her daughter Susanna.
