How princess diana dispelled stigma and misinformtion surrounding leprossy

Princess Diana devoted herself to serving others without a voice. She was a patron to over 100 charities in her lifetime and many continued on in her legacy after her death. She loved helping people and was able to use her status and populartiy to raise awarness on many issues. Because of her work, she was able to destigmatize a lot of illnesses such as AIDS/HIV and leprossy. She did this by touching the patients who were affected by these diseases without gloves, in order to prove that these diseases are not spread by physical touch. She also made reglar personal visits to homeless shelters and reached out to children.

Princess Dianas charity work

Princess Diana was known for defying the expectations placed on a British Royal, and she used her fame and influence to change the world for the better. The Royal Family is very strict and they care about how they are portrayed in the media, so they wouldnt do anything to hurt their image and reputation. Princess Diana did not care about these things and decided to be different. She was one of the most photographed women in the world at the time and she called the media "insufferable". However, she realized that a picture truly does mean a thousand words and used the papparatzi to her advantage. In her position, most people would be scared to speak up on controvertial issues because of backlash from the media, but she wsnt afraid of anyone or anything which was very admirable. She encouraged many people to support charities and continue in her footsteps. I think she was an amazing leader.
