The greatest threats (menaces) for the reef are: Sandy beaches. climate change wildfires coastal development sharks overfishing periodic cyclones and floods We can see that the coral is dying because is bleaches (becomes white). The coral reef has a natural capacity to repair and regenerate but damages are so big that , it needs our help to be saved. The Great Barrier Reef Marine park works alone with partners to protect the reef.
