Si tu souhaites venir en séjour à la HE Vinci dans le cadre d'un programme de mobilité, veille à d’abord prendre contact avec le bureau international de ton établissement d’origine. Celui-ci enverra la liste des étudiants qu’il décide de sélectionner (incluant : nom, prénom, adresse e-mail, département d'études, dates de mobilité), par email au Service des relations internationales de la HE Vinci :

Bruxelles offre un excellent rapport qualité-prix comparé à d’autres capitales européennes. Si ton séjour s’étale sur plus de 3 mois, à ton arrivée, tu dois t’inscrire dans la « commune » où est situé ton logement. En Belgique, « commune » est une petite division administrative du territoire. Chaque commune fait partie d'une des quatre régions linguistiques. Pour t’inscrire, contacte le service « Population » de l’administration communale. Un agent de quartier passera à ton domicile dans les trois semaines après ton inscription.

Il est impératif d'arriver quelques jours avant le début effectif de ton programme et de prendre rendez-vous par e-mail, avant ton arrivée, avec le coordinateur international de ton département d’accueil.

Le Service des Relations internationales prévoit une journée d’accueil et des activités socio-culturelles pour les étudiants d’échange de tous les départements. Ces activités te sont offertes par le service donc entièrement gratuites. Par exemple : découverte de Bruxelles et Louvain-la-Neuve, jeux (escape game), balades en nature, sorties au musée ou au théâtre, activités de découverte culturelle (bières, chocolat…), etc.

Si le français n’est pas ta langue maternelle, il est recommandé d’avoir un niveau B1 avant le début de ton séjour en Belgique. Public transport

Woluwe and Ixelles campuses are well served by public transport. All public transport in Brussels is provided by one company, the STIB. Upon your arrival, you will receive a registration certificate from HE Vinci entitling you to the student rate. Registration with municipality

If you stay in Belgium for more than 3 months, you must register at the "municipality" where you live. In Belgium, a municipality is called ‘commune’, which is a small administrative division of the territory. Each municipality is part of one of the four linguistic regions. To register, contact your municipality’s "Population & Civil Registry". A neighbourhood officer will visit your home within three weeks of registration.

On the Welcome day, you will receive various information and administrative documents relating to your stay:

A registration certificate from HE Vinci: valid for student discounts on public transport
Your Student card
Signature of your Erasmus stay certificate (if needed)

The International Office organizes a Welcome day as well as cultural and social activities for exchange students from all departments. These activities are provided free of charge by the International Office. For example: discovery of Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve, Escape game, walks in nature, museum or theater trips, cultural discovery activities (beer, chocolate, etc.), and the like.

We highly recommend you arrive a few days before the start of your programme. Before your arrival, you should ask for an appointment by sending an e-mail to the international coordinator of your host department.

French as a Foreign Language (in French: FLE)

If French is not your mother tongue, we recommend a B1 level to participate in the different learning activities. During your exchange at HE Vinci, you will have the opportunity to participate for free in French courses organized for exchange students only. Information on practical details (location, times, accreditation) will be given at the start of your mobility, and you can decide to register at that time.

Sports

HE Vinci possesses several sports halls on the Woluwe campus. The main purpose is to serve the needs of several academic programmes (Physical Education, Sports Coaching and Youth Worker Specialised in Social and Sports Activities). Other sports facilities are also available: • The Mounier Sports Centre on the Woluwe campus. • The Blocry Sports Centre on the Louvain-la-Neuve campus.
