Complete Application & Educational Interview

• This helps a potential Intended Parent get to know you.

• Our team will review your application in detail, answer questions, and review the journey process from start to finish.

Surrogate File Building

• We will gather medical records from all of your previous deliveries, PAP results, and OB clearance.

• Complete a background check on you and anyone in your household over the age of 18.

Pre-Match Meeting & Profile Review

• Meet with our Director of Matching to go over your preferences in a match and your hopes for your surrogate journey!

• You will be sent profiles of potential Intended Parents to review based on your selection preferences.

Match Meeting

• You get to meet a potential family via video chat to get to know each other more before officially starting your journey!

• Sign the Agency Agreement and additional paperwork.

• Meet your Surrogacy Coordinator at Egg Donor & Surrogate Solutions who will guide & support you through the rest of the journey.

Surrogate's Medical & Psychological Screening

• You will likely have a hysteroscopy, FDA labs, & possibly other testing (at the discretion of the IVF clinic).

• Undergo a psychological screening, including an MMPI or PAI.

• Group session (GC, GCs partner, IPs) with a therapist.

Draft & Finalize Contract with your Intended Parents

• IPs attorney will draft the Gestational Agreement & you will review it with separate legal counsel. This will outline all terms regarding compensation, reimbursement, parentage, etc.

• Finalize insurance (if not already in place).

Surrogate Medication Cycle & Embryo Transfer

• Start medications to prepare your body for transfer.

• 5-8 appointments with the IVF physicians or a monitoring clinic.

Positive Pregnancy

• Approximately two weeks after embryo transfer, you will test for pregnancy.

• After heartbeat confirmation, around 8 weeks, your first compensation payment will be received, and then monthly compensation will be received thereafter.

Pregnancy

• Your care will transfer to YOUR OB from the IVF clinic.

• The Surrogacy Coordinator will help you schedule appoinments throughout the pregnancy, navigate expectations with the IPs, and assist you with compensation and reimbursements through escrow.

Legal Parentage Paperwork

• The Surrogacy Coordinator (with the help of your attorney) will guide you through the steps to complete all parentage paperwork needed for delivery.

• Intended Parents will have proper legal documentation for the hospital.

• The Surrogacy Coordinator will assist in scheduling a hospital tour for you and your IPs, send legal paperwork to the hospital, connect with Labor and Delivery, and continue to help facilitate birth plan discussions prior to delivery.

Delivery

• The baby is here, and you have created a happy family!

• Your Surrogacy Coordinator will continue to be available to you and your IPs post-delivery for encouragement, help with the hospital bills, escrow account, etc.
