Present continuous expresses progressive actions happening at the moment.
present continuous
You-we-they + are
- You are having a blast.
- They are stuying in pairs.
- We are watching a movie.
He-She-It + is
- He is eating cake.
- She is staying at her parents'.
- The dog is chasing cats.
I + am / I 'm
- I am working right now
Be : am / is / are
It's auxiliary verb is the "verb to Be"
Subject + to be + not + verb -ing
Examples:
- I'm not sculpting, I'm painting.
- They are not stuying in pairs.
- She's not watching a movie.
negative form
The negative form of the present continuous tense results quite easy to conjugate

Example:
- He is dancing right now.
- You only need to invert the possition of the subject and the auxiliary
