What is a D7 visa?

D7 is one of the most affordable and balanced immigration possibilities in Portugal. This visa allows non-EU nationals to acquire Portuguese residency privileges, granted that they possess sufficient funds to sustain themselves and their dependents while in Portugal. Another important requirement is the nature of your income - only passive income qualifies as sufficient grounds for a D7. This visa will perfectly suit retirees or entrepreneurs that want to live in Portugal without investing in real estate or funds.

Salaries and incomes generated by personal labour do not qualify as passive income. Their amount does not matter as well. For example - an individual with an annual salary of 200.000$ is not considered a holder of passive income.
