EARLY LIFE

Algernon Sidney Porter, his father, was a medical practitioner. William's mother passed away when he was three years old, and he was raised by his grandmother and aunt. He dropped out of school at the age of 15 and worked in a variety of professions, including a bank clerk.

  • Historians believe Porter first encountered Athol on March 2, 1885, when the cornerstone of the Texas State Capitol was laid. Her mother was against the match because Athol was suffering from tuberculosis.

Porter was a habitual drinker, and by 1908, his health had taken a toll on his work. Sarah divorced him in 1909 and he passed away on june 5 ,1910, of cirrhosis of the liver, diabetic issues and an enlarged heart.

They came across a store with bright electric lights in the middle of their promenade,exposing their faces.The man from the West cast a glance and swiftly drew back,confronting the imposter before him."Jimmy" grinned at him and proclaimed his arrest,giving him a note handed down from another officer.The message stated that Jimmy did arrive on time but was met with a wanted poster of Bob; feeling guilty, he returned to the station and delegated the task to his collegue.

The narrative begins with a confident, duty-bound police officer going about his everyday tasks when he gets intrigued by a man standing in front of a darkened store.Slowing down, the officer approached him as the guy calmed him down,stating that he is waiting for his former best friend in front of Big Joe's, a restaurant that previously stood on those premises.The man proceeds to explain how he had dinner with Jimmy Wells and how they grew up together there in New York.The man made it absolutely clear that Jimmy was the finest companion he could ever ask for. He also emphasized their parting and their promise to meet in twenty years. As the talk progressed,the time for their meeting approached.Unfortunately,the man had to wait another half an hour until a tall man appeared. After establishing their identities, they started to fill each other in on their lives,while enjoing a tranquill stroll down the street.

The story takes place in New York City (NYC) with no set date. The timing being a quiet evening with a very empty and undisturbed atmosphere.It is said that the weather is windy with light showers piercing the air.

The man reveals his identity and announces Bob's arrest while handing the note to him.

The tall man in a long coat approached Bob.

The time Bob and Jimmy were suppossed to meet.

Bob checked his fancy, covered in jewels pocket watch.

Bob and Jimmy made the agreement to meet up at Big Joe'in 20 years as an act of departure.
