Nicolás Maduro was elected in April 2013 after the death of his predecessor Hugo Chávez, where the economy went into decline during his first term.
Lebanon was divided into three sects: Maronite Christians, Shia Muslims, and Sunni Muslims; which cause a political crisis because of religious tensions.
Venezuela’s central bank decayed, making its economy shrink by more than 50 percent since 2013. Furthermore, Leopoldo Lopez was arrested for his roles in protests that went against the government. Maduro makes him remain in jail avoiding him to participate in elections.
The Lebanese Civil War took place because of religious discrepancies and power affairs.

The objective of Lebanon was to keep dollars flowing, so Lebanon’s central bank started offering high interests to people who deposit dollars. However, things didn’t function falling everything apart and plummeting the value of the lira by more than 90%.
Guaido was recognized as the legitimate president of Venezuela since disequality, corruption, and human rights violations were seen in Maduro's governance; making Guaido call the military to help remove Maduro but it was impossible.
On the 21st of February, the first cases of COVID-19 were reported in Lebanon. On August 4, Beirut port exploded killing over 200 people and injuring thousands. These events harm much more Lebanon's economy.
The Covid-19 contingency served as an excuse to intensify their government control over the population.
Nowadays, Lebanon's economy collapsed, the government is not functional, electricity is not functioning as it needs to, and basic resources are not available. However, the new prime minister "Mr. Mikati" has asked the Lebanese for unity to pull the country out of the economic crisis.
