UA&P Library Main Entrance

RFID Security Gates are placed on the library entrance and exit to ensure that library materials were properly checked out.

Book Tree Exchange Corner Library user can read books from the tree or donate a book for others to read.

Directional Signage Upon entering the UA&P Library, a directional signage is posted beside the automatic alcohol dispenser guiding library users where to go.

Don't forget to disinfect! Automatic alcohol dispensers are placed in different areas of the library available for the use of library users. Disinfect your hands upon entering the library, before and after use of library materials, and when exiting the library.

The UA&P Library follows a one-way foot traffic system. Directional foot markings are placed on the library floor carpet to guide you where to go or exit the library.

Self-service Checkout Kiosk Self-service checkout kiosks are available in front of the Undergraduate Library infodesk. Use this when checking out library materials you want to borrow. Just type in your ID number and place the library materials on the RFID pad. Easy, right? Or you may refer to the instructions posted beside the kiosk. Don't hesitate to request for an assistance from the library staff if you have encountered issues in checking out books. We're ready to help!

PWD Study Room Comfort Room. Exclusive for library users with disabilities. The comfort room is equipped with automatic motion-sensor light and faucet, bidet, shower room, and glass shelf for the convenience of the library users.

University Librarian's Office This is where the University Librarian work and may hold meetings with library guests. The office is equipped with LEDTV for meetings and presentations.

LIB Meeting Room Exclusive for the use of the library staff when conducting meetings, presentations, strategic planning, and other library unit affairs.

LIB Reception Counter Receiving of incoming and sending of outgoing documents for or by the library can be done here. It also serves as the working area of the library's administrative assistant.

LIB Staff Lounge with alfresco Library staff use this area for eating or relaxing during breaks or after work shifts. This area is equipped with kitchen appliances and LEDTV with cable.

Technical Services Division Area This is where the library processes the acquired library materials before making it available for library users and placing it in the Undergraduate and Graduate Libraries' collection. Inside the Technical Services Division Area, you'll find the:

  • Content Evaluation Room
  • Resource Receiving Room

University Librarian's Office This is where the University Librarian work and may hold meetings with library guests. The office is equipped with LEDTV for meetings and presentations.

Resource Receiving Room This is where the library receives the acquired library materials from book publishers and vendors before processing it and making it available in the library collection.

Content Evaluation Room This is where the library staff, together with the Library Advisers, evaluate and classify recently acquired library materials before processing the library materials for library use.

Self-service pick-up area for Booking Requests Did you know you can place a booking request for the library materials you intend to borrow? If you didn't, you may refer to the guide here. Just make sure to log-in to your UA&P Google account to view the guide.

Ladies' Comfort Room The Undergraduate Library Ladies Comfort Room is equipped with motion sensor faucet, hand soap, and hand dryer. Each cubicle has a bidet and tissue dispenser for the convenience of the library users.

University Gallery This area will display the library exhibit, which is currently located at the Metrobank Lobby, ACB. Currently, it is used as book quarantine area for used and returned library materials and library users are restricted to enter this area. These library materials will be in quarantine for 14 days before making it available for the use of other library users.

Don't forget to disinfect! Alcohol dispenser and health protocol signage is posted to remind library users to disinfect their hands before and after touching the library materials.

Undergraduate Library Collection Books and references relating to undergraduate studies, humanities, and art can be found here. You may borrow a book using the self-checkout kiosk in front of the Undergraduate Library infodesk. Please make sure that books you have taken from the shelves will be placed on top of your table instead of returning it back to the shelves. This is to help us prevent transmission of COVID-19 virus. Archives Ante Room This serves as the waiting area of the Archives section. Currently, the Archives section is closed to library users during the LIB Phase 3 Reopening.

We're still finishing the library renovations, but this will be the Archives Conservation Room. This is where preserving and conserving damaged library materials are being processed so that you may still access the information from these materials. How cool is that?

Archives Reading Room The University Archives is the repository of records and archives of enduring value that document the development and institutional memory of the University of Asia and the Pacific. Since these are archived materials, some may require extra caution in handling these items. Don't worry, the archivist will assist you in handling these documents. Currently, the Archives section is closed to library users during the LIB Phase 3 Reopening.

Viewing Room Students, faculty members, and employees may reserve the viewing room for viewing of multimedia collection or for class preparations.

Multimedia Hub Currently, this area will be exclusively for the use of faculty members for class preparations or holding class meetings. Faculty members may reserve a seat in this area here. Note that reservations are not automatically confirmed and will still be for approval. Once the library renovation has finished, this will be the library's Multimedia Hub where library users can access multimedia materials such as CDs, DVDs, and maps.

Multimedia Collection & Equipment The Multimedia Collection contains audiovisual materials such as CDs, DVDs, VHS, and maps. These library materials may be borrowed for class instruction. The Multimedia Equipment (DSLR and accessories, drawing pad, and laptops) can be found here. To borrow multimedia equipment, place a multimedia equipment reservation.

Photocopying and Binding Center Library users who want to photocopy book chapters or pages can pay for the service here. Only the photocopying service is available during the Phase 3 Reopening.

Serials Collection The last shelves in the Graduate Library Collection contain the Serials Collection, which are bound periodicals. These materials can be loaned out for 3 days only.

Archives Mobile Compactor This contains all the archival materials of the University Library.

USC Discussion Room 00 This Discussion Room is exclusive for the use of library users with disabilities. Just present your PWD Card before using the discussion room.

USC Discussion Room During the Phase 3 Reopening the USC Discussion Rooms can now accommodate a maximum of 8 persons and a minimum of 3 persons per discussion room. Each discussion room is equipped with swivel chairs, whiteboard, whiteboard markers and erasers, LEDTV, and air-conditioning units.

USC Study Pods Library users can use the USC free-seating Study Pods across the USC Discussion Rooms if they need more study space for themselves.
