Why does Ezebener Scrooge hate Christmas?

CHRISTMAS CARROL Ezebener Scrooge, a greedy old man who hates christmas, refuses to give offering to the poor and obliges his employee Cratchit to work until late on Christmas Eve; he also sends hi nephew, Fred, away. For Scrooge the Christmas is only a waste of money and time. When Scrooge arrives at home on Christmas Eve, notices the ghost of his dead business partner: Jacob Marley. At night Marley appears again to Scrooge saying him to change his way of living if he wants to change his fate. Scrooge is upset by the vision but he doesn’t know that in the night between 24th December and Christmas day will change him forever. During the night he meets three spirits: the ghost of Christmas past, the ghost of Christmas present and the ghost of Christmas yet to come that how his mean behavior has affected those around him. The ghost of Christmas past brings Scrooge back to school days, when he was just a child in a boarding school after his mum’s death. The spirit reminds him his affection for his mother and sister and that Fred is the only relatives who’s alive. The Ghost of Christmas present takes Scrooge through London for seeing his employee and nephew celebrating Christmas with their relatives and friends. The Ghost of Christmas yet to come through a sequences of scenes relating to a recent death. No one wants to go on the funeral and the spirit shows him the name of the man on the grave: Ezebener Scrooge. On Christmas day, Scrooge rushes out onto the street to share his new found Christmas spirit; he sends a very big turkey to Cratchit’s house and take part to Fred’s party. He promises to him self to honour Christmas and being kind to all humans.
