MAIN IDEAS

  1. Babies have an innate ability so it is easy for them to learn one or more languages.
  2. When it comes to syntax at a young age , they figure out the proper places to put negation ( use correct pronouns , get the correct word order and all the different requirements of such a language.
  3. They have the ability to divide the vowel space of each language.
  4. Acquisition of different consonants in early children varies according to social factors.
  5. They learn to divide the sound spectrum into the correct phonemes for each of the languages in this case was the Spanish / French .
  6. As children grow older they lose the ability to differentiate sounds.
  7. Children at an early age have the ability to differentiate between two sounds or phonemes of that language.
  8. When children put together sounds or words or sentences from their different languages it is because they are obeying social cues about when it is appropriate to switch between their languages.
  9. According to the aforementioned studies, it is deduced that the younger children are, the easier it is for them to understand and comprehend a new language.
  10. Children at an early age find it easy to manage sounds because they are able to distinguish consonants.

11. Learning is much easier and more natural for babies than for adults.12. The influence of a new language in babies does not represent a major problem due to their learning capacity.13. Babies who grow up listening to a second language have a greater capacity to retain sounds. In adults the language is already embedded or fixed and for this reason it is much more difficult for them to learn a second language than an infant. 15. Unlike adults, children and adults do not have the same grammar because they are not yet able to control it. 16. Young children can learn two languages together without much difficulty.17. It is much more complex for teenagers or older learners to acquire a new language.18. The earlier a language can be learned, the better the results.19. It can be said that the learning of two or more languages is feasible at an early age, from infancy.20. Children can also learn thanks to their perception and encode such knowledge in their brains
