GENERAL INFORMATION

RUGOVA MOUNTAINSit is a national park since 2013. It is located in the most western part of Kosovo. It is rich in many landfors like caves, waterfalls, high peaks, glacial lakes and tunnels. The highest peak is Hajla at 2,403 m.

MARBLE CAVE (LIPLJAN)It contains lots of marble limestones created in the Mesozoic era.Many parts are still unexplored. There are two entrances.

BATLAVA LAKEIt is the main source of potable water for the cities of Pristina and Podujevo. It is an artificial lake, crated during the communist era. The Batlava river supplies it the water.It is a popular tourist destination for Kosovars.

NATIONAL MUSEUMIt was built in 1945. It contains 50,000 different profiles, the first ones from 6,000 years BC.

GRACANICA MONASTERYIt is an Orthodox Monastery, founded by the Serbian King Milutin in 1321. It contains many old icons and manuscripts. It is placed on UNESCO world heritage list.

XHERDAN SHAKIRI (FOOTBALL PLAYER)He was born in Kosovo but his parents emigrated to Switzerland when he was two years old.He has played in Bayern Munich FC and Liverpool. Now he is playing in the Olympique of Lyon, in the French league.

ERA ISTREFI (SINGER)She is known worldwide since this succesful song "Bon bon"She perfomed the 2018 Football championship song, with Nicky Jam and Will Smith.

The city is plently full of shops but there are some curious options if you want to make it easier. And there is no excuse for waliking because the bus lines help you to move move where ever you like!

Why do you have to visit PRistina?

Probably it is not the best place in the world but you will remember it forever.

In natural areas of Kosovo, there are many bears. Some of them come to visit the houses and restaurants near forests and mountains !!!

Kosovo is recognized as a country by some nations in the world. In the photo, the current President of USA, Joe Biden, supporting the proclamation of the independence in 2008, when he was Secretary of State.Other countries like Spain do not consider it an independent country, only an autonomous region of Serbia..
