He was the second son of King Frederick William III and Duchess Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. He was born in 1797 and died in 1888.
1. He became King of Prussia in 1861. 2. During he was a soldier, he obtained numerous honor medals as you can see in the second image below. 3. He became emperor of the 2nd German Reich(image below) after they obtained independence.
When he was young he was a Prussian soldier, but because of the death of his brother, who was the king of Prussia, he replaced him and became King of Prussia in 1861. In 1864 the German unifying revolution started, Prussia supported it, and Germany obtained independence in 1871. After that, he became emperor of the 2nd German Reich.
