They ONLY refer to verbs*.

Tenses tell us when something happens.

The Tenses

Present Simple is simple. We use it in three ways.

These sentences tell about things that happen regularly*.

What about the pronouns???

'I' and 'you' are special. Even though they can be singular, the verb does NOT get an 's'.

I smile at everyone.

They look cute.

It roars loudly.

She wears a uniform.

So when do we add 's' to verb*???

If you want to ask a specific question - who, what, when, where, why - just add them before the do/does.
