There are many reasons why people want to study and speak French, the language of love. Here are the most common: 1. French is spoken in many countries across all continents. 2. It is a language for the international job market and relations (international companies, the United Nations, the European Union, NATO, UNESCO...) 3. French is a language of culture and travel (multiculturality, cooking, arts, fashion, cinema…). 4. Speaking French gives you opportunities to study at French universities and business schools. 5. Learning French can be fun and grow your creativity. + According to some, studying French makes you smarter! You want to try?

No exam! Practicing French, discovering French speaking countries each week and doing your E-Portfolio will be your only duty...

Each week, students will share a cultural aspect from a French speaking area. Instead of doing a presentation, you will EXPERIENCE the cultural aspect chosen by doing crafts, dancing, singing or discovering/making/trying something...It will be followed by a creative activity (creative writing/games).← Click on the the left to see some examples...

Aspect culturel à partager: Dans le sud de la France, il y a beaucoup de lavande et on adore son odeur... Je vais donc vous montrer comment créer un sachet de lavande... Activité création/jeu: Un quizz peut être ensuite partagé avec le groupe! _____________________________________________________________ Autre aspect culturel du sud de la France, les spécialités culinaires provençales! Je vais faire passer des ingrédients typiquement marseillais (ail, thym, herbes de provence...) Ces spécialités culinaires sont un régal! Vous en connaissez? Et vous, vous cuisinez quoi chez vous? Activité création/jeu: Vous pouvez proposer à chacun de cuisiner un plat provençal ou d'inventer une recette avec des aliments provençaux ou encore de discuter des habitudes culinaires des uns et des autres.

In addition to the Culture Time and Creative activity you will prepare, you will also write a beautiful and unique E-Portfolio. It will show what you learned with your group, in the module and all the Culture Times experienced during the class. It is A very CREATIVE work... Have FUN! ☺

Last question...

The E-portfolio should show evidence of practice between seminars, ability to reflect on cultural experiences and personal work. Creativity is the key!
