Three Rhode Island Schools won the 2021 Blue Ribbon Award:
- North Kingstown High School
- Ashton Elementary School in Cumberland
- Raymound C. LaPerche Elementary School in Smithfield
Over 9,000 schools have won the award according to the United States Department of Education.
Five NKSD schools have recieved the award:
- NKHS
- DMS
- Forest Park
- Fishing Cove
- Stoney Lane
According to the United States Department of Education, over 10,000 Blue Ribbon Awards have been given out in all as some schools have won the award multiple times.
