Resilience: Support Educators in Times of Change

Megan Troyer and Sarah Ogborn In this workshop, instructional coaches, administrators, and teacher-leaders will walk away with tangible ideas for supporting educator resiliency as a means of building a healthy culture within a school or district. The session will also focus on SEL for all as a way to bolster staff efficacy and student belonging. We will explore ways to apply Elena Aguilar's "Onward" as a practical framework for creating a resiliency movement within a school and building intentional SEL practices in classrooms. Throughout the session, participants will be asked to reflect on the state of teacher resiliency and brainstorm actionable items for developing a framework that works for their building.
