White light is a spectrum that is made up of multiple component colours:
Light is the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that our eyes are able to perceive.
What is light?
Light always travels in a straight line so the image will appear inverted if viewed directly through a lens.
Light travels at approximately 300,000,000 m/s or 186,000 miles/sec
How light travels
When the shutter is closed
How light interacts with a SLR
Light enters the lens. Hits the mirror reflecting the light into a prism, wich is then reflected into the eye. With the image corrected to appear the right way up.
When the shutter is open
How light interacts with a SLR
