Welcome back!

The Head greeting our new Year 9 – a glorious day in the Valley for their first day of school!

Welcome back!

Wonderful to be back together again in the Abbey Church - the first time since March 2020 - to celebrate Mass and mark the start of the new academic year.

Welcome back!

Sunday Mass has changed to the later time of 11.15am and a sung Mass with the Schola is celebrated every Friday at 7pm in the evening - parents, families, guests are all welcome as before.

Welcome back!

Dear Parents and Carers, What a week - the first week seems to take an age to arrive as we prep the House and catch-up as colleagues after the holiday, but then it flies by in a blur of noise, laughter, questions, and rushing out of House to be on time to lessons! It is great to have the House back to life - it just isn't the same when it is empty. Our new boys are integrating very well, Year 9 particularly being helped by the staggered start, which allowed them to feel a little more established in their new environment before the older years returned. I am grateful for the commitment you have shown as families to our dress code and hair cuts. The boys look smart. You should now have heard from your son's tutor - they should be the primary point of contact for any academic issues. A reminder that my wonderful team are: Mr Allisstone (Year 9), Dr Beveridge (Year 10), Mr Metcalfe (Year 11), Mr Connor (Year 12), Mr Devitt (Year 12 and 13), Mrs Garcia-Ortega (Year 13). They will be more than happy to help you with any queries you might have. This weekend promises to be a busy one: socials on Saturday evening, a welcome return to the Abbey Church for Sunday Mass (new suits getting an outing!), and our defence of the Raft Race crown on Sunday! Wishing you all a lovely weekend, James
