Do you know how to reach the places of your trip? google maps to find out the geographical coordinates of the places you chose to do your journey around the world. Then put them on the map that you have just used in the activity before.

In which hemisphere are they? Point out on the map the hemispheres where the ladforms and rivers you chose are located.

- What countries do they belong to? - Search the cities that the river goes through and the landform is located Show me on the maps

Now it is time to know about the climate, because it is important to know the type of clothes you should wear in each country! The first thing you need to clarify is: What’s the difference between weather and climate? Dou you know which are the main climate zones? Which are their main features? Read the text The hot zone is located between the two tropics. Insulation is high because the sun’s rays fall vertically on this area. Temperatures are over 18º C all year. The temperate zone is actually divided into two zones, one in each hemisphere, between tropics and polar circles. Insulation is still enough to keep this zone warm. In these zones year is divided into four seasons, a hot summer, a cold winter, and two transitional periods, spring and autumn (or fall). The cold zone is also divided into two zones, located inside the North and the South polar circles. The insulation is very low because the sun’s rays fall almost tangentially on the surface. They have no summers. Fill in the table using the information from the text above. zone locationLOCATIONTEMPERATURESEASONSHOTTEMPERATECOLD

WHERE ARE THE CLIMATE ZONES LOCATED? Look at the picture below. Can you mark the three climatic zones? Use : - red for the hot zones - blue for the cold zones - orange for the temperate zones Do it in the map of the task 2. IN WHAT TIME ZONE IS YOUR LANDFORM/RIVER LOCATED?

Task 10: Read page 84,85,86,87,88,89 Do you know what type of climate is located in each climate zone? Read the information in your book. Complete the table CLIMATE TYPE TEMPERATURES PRECIPITATIONS TORRID/ HOT ZONE DESERT

SOLAR SYSTEM

How can we represent the Earth on a map ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LGgdS6kEgE

Why do we need the maps?
