There are a few ways to add a quick check-in.

The fastest is directly from the Dispatch > Loads screen.

Simply clickon the colored status button next to any load.

For this example, click on INROUTE by Load # 15005100.

This block details the information from the last check-in.

Here you can change the status type. Mouse over the dropdown menu now to see the options.

Indicate whether the check-in/drop was on time.

Manually indicate when this check-in occurred.

You can update the truck's location, temperature, and add any custom notes on this line.

Hit Save Checkin when finished. Click here when ready to leave this screen.

You can also add a check-in from within a specific load.

  • Stay on top of changes to complicated loads
  • Keep thorough records
  • Change the status of a load
    • This is where you will indicate that a load has been delivered or released.
  • Drivers with the app can automatically send check-ins to Arcus. Check-ins will show on the stop map of an individual Track Load screen.

Selecting Dispatch will open a secondary Dispatch Menu.

Selecting Loadboard will open the Loadboard screen.

Selecting this will open this secondary Data Maintenance menu. You can select which type of information you wish to see and search in.

Dispatch Menu

To see the Order Entry screen, click on + New Order.

Selecting Dashboard will open a screen where you can view assigned Loads, Load Alerts, and Settlement Tasks.

Selecting Analytics will open a screen where you can view various reports regarding branch performance. This feature is not yet operational for some users and/or branches.

Selecting Loads will take you to the current list of loads in the system.

Selecting Orders will take you to the current list of orders that have not been made into Loads.

Selecting Templates will take you to a list of order templates that you or your branch have created. You can also create new order templates from this screen by selecting the + icon. .

Selecting Tools will take you to the Lane Search feature. In here, you can search previous loads and rates.

Use this last button to quickly start a new order or load.

Supervisors and users with advanced permissions will have access to this dropdown menu. Click the arrow to see the options.

Here is where you can edit any of your contact information inside of Arcus.

Here, users (with permission) can set the advance limits for other brokers in their branch.

Here, users (with permission) can set the administrative permissions for other brokers/users in their branch.

Here, you can select which fields you would like to show on your dashboard. Hitting the floppy disk icon will save your current view. The items on this page available for use are:

  • My Load Tasks
  • Pending Settlement Tasks
  • Load Alerts
  • My Assigned Loads

My Load Tasks Any assigned tasks associated with a load will appear here. Tasks are assigned from the Load Tracking screen.

Load Alerts Loads that are overdue for check-in or need attention will appear here. This is a quick way to see the Last Status and Next Stop information.

My Settlement Tasks Loads that are in settlement and need approval/more information will appear here. Arcus communicates directly with Broker when dealing with settlement tasks.

Assigned LoadsThe last grid available on the Dashboard is a collection of all the loads that have been assigned to you, for easy access and viewing.

*Note: Analytics is still being developed and will be getting many new features.

There are different graphs available for viewing under Analytics:

  • Freight Totals
  • Carrier Totals
  • Net Totals
  • Load Counts
  • Freight Averages
  • Carrier Averages
The different colored lines are associated with the different brokers of the branch. (Names have been removed from this example.)

The same information presented below can be changed to a spreadsheet. Click on "Tables" to view this other option.

Clicking the printer will generate a formatted PDF of either the charts or tables for easy printing.

You can schedule specific reports to be ran and emailed directly to you on a recurring basis with this option.

Use the gear to adjust the desired view and display of this page.

Export the below table to PDF or Excel with ease.

Click here to create a new order.

Search any field for the order. You can search by any information found in the columns below.

Users with access to multiple branches will find them in the dropdown here. Not everyone will have (or need) this option.

If you have saved a custom view/layout of this screen, you can select your saved view from this dropdown.

Clicking this round arrow resets the selected view to its defaults.

Use checkboxes to select multiple orders at once. The selected orders can then be built into a load by clicking the down arrow (▼) .

Click here to create a new template for an order that repeats often.

To use the template, click the dropdown arrow. (Please click on the top one now to see the dropdown menu.)

Build a new order using the template by selecting this last option.

Currently, there is only one tool available on this screen. Click on Lane Search to learn more.

For users with multiple branches, select a branch from the dropdown.

If desired, select a customer to see the carriers previously used.

Just as with other functions on Arcus, only fields denoted by an asterisk (*) must be filled in. Here, you only need to include the "From:" and "To:" states.

Checking this box only returns carriers denoted with Load Carrier = Y in the system.

Once enough fields have been filled out, the search box will turn blue. Simply click to search available carriers.

After selecting carrier options, click here to email them directly.

Choose how the carriers in the search will be sorted. In addition to Load Count, here are the other dropdown options:

Carriers can be searched by all of the following.

You can search by any information found in the columns below. Use this feature to look up customers to see if they have credit blocked, view their history, and find their contact information.

Click on Arrow Line Services for an example of a customer contact card.

Here you'll find the customer's contact information.

Here you can see the account history, including when it was created and any credit limits. This area will also tell you if their credit is blocked.

This side of the screen deals with the history of the customer regarding number of loads and claims.

Up here you can click to see any comments associated with the customer.

Click on M & B LOGISTICS to view a sample Carrier contact card.

Here you'll find the carrier's contact information.

Here you can see a chart of the carrier's loads and claims.

Here is a summary of the responses to the performance survey given whenever a load is changed to Delivered status.

Use the tabs to view any restrictions or comments associated with this carrier. (Not available for this presentation.)

Here is info on the account history, claims, and a link to the carrier's FMCSA report.

Here is the carrier's insurance information. This is where it will also say whether their insurance has expired.

Click on Sun City Produce to see a sample Stop Location card.

Here is the current information saved regarding this stop location.

If there are any hours of operation or instructions saved to a location, they will appear here.

This is the saved contact for the stop location.

A map showing the address of the stop location.

Information and contacts can be edited here.

This is where loads posted to the Loadboard will appear.

This is the top of the New Order Entry page.

Here you can add reference numbers to the order. Mouse over Reference Type to see the available options.

The plus sign must be clicked to add the number to the order.

*Any field with an asterisk (*) must be filled out to complete the order.

The branch field will automatically fill in with your branch. Otherwise, select the branch from the dropdown.

Here you can select the agent in charge of the load from the dropdown.

Here you can indicate whether the load type is LTL or FTL.

Here you can search for the customer. The system can search by name, account number, address, and other details.

Enter any additional information associated with the loads.

Rate Information

Back

This information can be entered here, or can be entered per stop in the Add Stop section.

Use this field to search for the rate code (such as FRP or UNL). Codes can be searched by description or code.

This field will automatically fill with the description of the rate code you selected. (For example, FRP- Flat Rate Produce). You can change this field if desired.

The Bill Quantity and Bill Rate fields.

The pay quantity and pay rate fields.

The plus sign must be selected to add the line of rate information. You can alternatively hit enter to add the line.

*Remember, fields with asterisks must be filled in to save the load/order.

Clicking this will open a dropdown of commodity types. For this demonstration, mouse over the text to see the available options.

Once you have selected a commodity type, the Min and Max Temp may turn into required (*) fields.

Hover over the text to see the dropdown options for payment type.

This is the second section of the New Order Entry page.

Here, you can enter optional information regarding your order. (There will be more options to indicate handling requirements and equipment when you are editing the final load.)

Mouse over Equipment Type to see the available options.

Indicate any additional handling requirements here.

The final section of the Order Entry screen: Adding Stops

Select "Add New Stop" to proceed.

Click anywhere to zoom and learn more.

Next

Picks & DropsIndicate whether the stop will be a pick or a drop.

Appointments Indicate the appointment date, and if available, the time.

Stop Location You can search for existing stop locations by name, address, and other details. Use the + to add new stop information.

Pickup/Delivery No. Type in any Pickup or Delivery numbers here. As with Broker, you can use commas (,) to separate numbers. The numbers will appear in the Reference number list on the next line.

Contact Info If the stop is saved in the system, these fields will fill in the information for you.

Reference Numbers Add any reference numbers specific to the stop here.

Instructions Add any pertinent instructions for the stop here. If any are saved in the system, they will automatically appear when the stop is selected above.

Rate Information Here is the second place where rate information can be entered. This rate information is more intended for use per specific stop or item. Be sure to select the + or hit enter to add the line of information.

Save or Cancel Hit save to add the stop to the list.

Once your order has enough information, it will automatically set to "Open".

When you are ready to continue, click on the "Create Load" icon to view the Create Load screen.

Clicking this icon will cancel the order.

Clicking this icon will save it as an order.

Clicking this icon will create a load.

You will receive a popup with your new order number.

Click OK to continue.

Here is the Create Load screen. Click on any section to zoom in and learn more.

Click on the Carrier Instructions section to view all available info.

If the load is LTL and more than one order has been added, those will appear here.

If the load has a dispatcher assigned, they can click here to send it to the Load Board.

Your selections will appear on the confirmation page. The Custom section is for entering your own instructions.

Here you can select the agent the load is being assigned to, as well as the Dispatcher.

Search for a carrier by name, contact information, or address here.

Use this + to add a new carrier. You can search by DOT or MC number (see below.)

Add the brokerage percent as well as any other details about the truck here.

Click on theto see available contacts saved with this carrier.

Clicking this icon makes this screen appear. You can select the contacts associated with the load here.

Clicking this icon lets you associate driver contacts with the load.

Clicking here will allow you to adjust any of the rates entered on the order entry screen.

Clicking this opens the Lane Search Feature. From here, you can search past loads and rates based on stops. You can also reach out to carriers from this screen via email.

In this section you can find information about the stops. The system gives an estimated time and distance.

Clicking Sort Stops opens this window. This feature is useful for loads with multiple stops.

Use Optimize Route to find the best route for the truck between multiple picks and drops.

You can still click and drag to rearrange stop order on this screen.

Once all information has been entered, simply select Save Load to create the load.

Click on Save Load to continue the demonstration.

You will receive another popup with your new Load number.

From this screen, you can either view and send your confirmation to the carrier, or click OK to be directed to the Loads screen.

For now, please click on Confirmation.

This popup will appear.You can review the information provided and email the confirmation to the carrier. If the contact info is saved in Arcus, it will automatically fill in for you.

Clicking on any of these tabs will take you to view that page of the confirmation.

After sending the email or exiting the confirmation screen, the system will take you to the load tracking screen.

Click anywhere to explore the Load Tracking Screen further. Use the menu button to navigate back.

The load status has been changed to COVERED.

See Load information here.

Here you can save comments about the load.

Click here to issue an advance payment.

Here you can assign load-specific tasks to other users in the branch.

Click here to see the list of recorded check-ins. If the driver has a tracking app that's integrated with Arcus, updates will appear here. This is one of the places you can update the status of the load.

This is the current tab, detailing all the stops of the load.

This is a quick view of the check-ins and advances that have occurred for the load.

This is the list of stops on the load.

To go back and edit the load, click here.

Click here to view the charges and upload any documents for settlement.

Click here to return to the list of current loads.

The tab will open to show this information below.

The tab will open to show the below information. In the real Arcus, you would select +Add Check-In to add a manual check-in.

The tab below will open. Tasks can be assigned to any user in the branch. Level of priority can be set as well. These should not be confused with Settlement Tasks.

The below screen will appear under the tab: After clicking +Issue New, the following pop up will appear: Simply fill out the requested information to issue the EFS payment.

The below window will appear. Users can add a comment by clicking the orange plus sign.

This block contains all the information regarding the Load in settlement.

This is the grand total of all the charges on the Load in question.

Clicking the orange scanner icon will create a scan request. Simply use the same scanning program as always to scan new documents in. The printer can be used to print any documents already scanned into the load.

The second half of the screen shows charges broken down by Manifest.

The bottom of the Settlement screen has information about the Load Details and Carrier Pay. Settlement Tasks are found at the very bottom. Similar to Broker V, comments are sent back and forth between users.
