About the author

Charlotte Brontë

She was born on 21st April 1816 and died on 31st March 1855, and she was an English novelist and poet, the eldest of the three Brontë sisters who survived into adulthood and whose novels became classics of English literature. Both of her sisters were writers too. She had two important works, Jane Eyre and Villette. We can say that she was inspired by her own life to write Jane Eyre, because there are a lot of similitaries between them, for example she was sent to a school when her mother died, or that she also became a teacher and governess like Jane Eyre.

Emily and Anne Brontë

They were two sister that arrived to adulthood of Charlotte Brontë. They were both writers and poets like Charlotte, for this now we say that they are members of the Brontë Literary Family. Emily and Anne didn't have as much fame as her sister Charlotte, although they have a notable work , Emily is best known for her novel "Wuthering Heights" and Anne is best known for her novel "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall". Emily died on 19 December 1848 and Anne died on 28 May 1849, both probably died of tuberculosis.

In my opinion Jane Eyre is a really good and interesting book, because we have at all moment the curiosity and interest in learning what will happen next to Jane, and I think that almost anybody can imagine how this story finished. I reckon that the best part is the ending because it is the happy ending that Jane deserves. And it is a very good love history. Altough I don't like this literary genre so much, I liked this love story, so I recommend to read this book to everybody. Even if you don't like love histories or romantic histories, like me, this book will impress you so much.
