Volleyball
Origin and development
william G. Morgan (1870-1942), who was born in the State of New York, has gone down in history as the inventor of the game of volleyball. In 1895, James Morgan became director of physical education at the YMCA in Massachusetts, introduced the sport called "Mintonette", the original name of volleyball He wanted to find a less violent and less intense alternative for the older members of his gymnasium.
Volleyball became an Olympic sport in 1964. The outdoor version of volleyball -- a two-on-two competition played on sand was born as a tournament sport in 1948. It grew in popularity after its introduction at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
The history of volleyball in the Philippines dates back to 1910. The Physical Director of the YMCA, Elwood S. Brown, first introduced volleyball to the Philippines that year. Philippine people began to play volleyball as a backyard sport and games of beach volleyball soon followed, according to information from the Philippine Volleyball Federation, or PVF. Players hung the net between two trees. They made up their own rules regarding how many players on each side and how many times you could hit the ball before sending it over the net.The Philippine style of volleyball inspired the Americans to create the three-hit limit.
Materials and Equipment
In volleyball, arm sleeves are used for both comfort and protection. They can be used as compression sleeves to increase blood flow or to protect the arms from floor burn.
Arm sleeves
To get the ball at lower angles, several players kneel. In any given match, players can dive, slide, and tumble, and you'll almost certainly make contact with the ground. Knee pads are essential for preventing bruising and floor burns while also improving player comfort.
Knee pads
Elbow pad
Their significance is enhanced at higher levels of competition, since players prefer to dive more when the game is more fierce.

Jersey
Volleyball jerseys, like those in any other sport, demonstrate a team's solidarity.Volleyball jerseys are typically sleeveless sporting shirts that can be used to identify players
The midsole, which is generally constructed of foam, is the part of the shoe that absorbs shock. In the midsole, shock absorbers like as gel and air cushion the body from harsh contact and damage.
Rubber shoes
Ankle braces
Ankle braces function by providing external support for your internal network of support. They're utilized to keep certain movements under control. Ankle braces might appear to be an unavoidable element of a volleyball player's attire. Some athletes wear them because they've injured their ankle and need support to avoid further spraining.
Volleyball Court
Volleyball is played on a court, which is a carefully defined horizontal space within which the game is played. The volleyball court must be 18 meters long and 9 meters broad and have a rectangular form. It is then divided in half, with each side having their own square-shaped portion to play in.
