Introduction

It is the most populous city in the United States of America and one of the most populated in the world.It is an important city in the world. It has influence in culture, entertainment, arts, politic, education, architecture and even fashion.

New York

Central park is a public urban park located in the metropolitan distric of Manhattan. Moreover it was the first public park in the United States. The park is rectangular in shape and its dimensions are 4000 x 800 m It is the most visited urban park in the United States with an estimated 37,5 million visitors annually. It is one of the most famous parks in the world because of its appearance in numerous films. The park was created in 1857 and the designers were Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. This park contains several artificial lakes, two ice skating rinks and grassy areas dedicated to sport activities. This park is a good option to vissit if you go to New york. It allows you to enjoy the calm and takes you away from the noisy city.

Central Park

It is one of the most famous monuments in New York and around the world. It is located on Liberty Island in the south os Manhattan island. Despite being a famous monument it is a symbol of freedom and liberation from oppression. The statue was a present from the French goverment in 1876 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the USA and as a sign of friendship between the two countries. The sculptor of this monument is Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and the internal structure was designed by the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. The statue of liberty was inaugurated in 1886 and in 1964 it was declared a national monument of the United States. If you go to New York, don't forget to visit this monument.

The Empire State Building is New York's most famous building. It is a skyscraper located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street, in New York City. It was the tallest building of the world during 40 years, since 1931 to 1971. It was built at a high speed, completing it in a year and 45 days. It is 443.2 meters high and has 102 floors. For this reason is the seventh tallest building in New York. In 1986 it was designed as a National Historic Landmark and is owned and managed by W&H Properties.

Empire State Building

The Brooklyn Bridge is very famous, it connects the Manhattan and Brooklyn districts of New York and is one of the oldest roadway bridges in the United States. It took 13 years to finish, since 1870 to 1833. Before its inauguration it was the longest suspension bridge. Brooklyn bridge was built with granite and on that centenary it was a novelty

Madison Square Garden is also known as MSG or even The Garden. It is a multipurpose sports hall located in Manhattan. It is the fourth Madison Square and was inaugurated on 11th of February, 1968, when the third Madison Square closed. It is so large. It has a capacity of 20,000 people. Many different sport events have taken place in this sport centre. Many athletes have played on this sport centre. However, it is not only what you can do there, many of the most famous artists have performed here, for example Michael Jackson

Chinatown is the biggest Chinese neighborhood in the United States and many Chinese people live there, approximately 779,269 people. Almost all the buildings are old and dilapidated with more than 100 years and many times there are common bathrooms. People who live there have low wages. Moreover there are many stalls such as fruit, vegetable or even fish stalls. It is a very colourful part of Manhattan and tourist enjoy visiting this neighborhood because they can learn about new cultures without leaving a country

Chinatown

Times square is a very famous area of Manhattan. Its current name is due to The New York Times newspaper, whose offices are located on this square. Nowadays it is world famous and a symbol of New York. it is very luminated and there are many advertising panels. If I were you, I would go to visit this square. Everyone who visits it advises to go and spend some time looking the panels.
