Introduction

A foreigner in New York tells us the adventures that Antonio, a Spanish young man, who loves travelling, lives in his visit to New York. In this book you can read about different places all over New York, all the impressions that Antonio had when he visited it and about all the people that he met there.

He is the protagonist of this story. He loves travelling and he dreams about travelling to New York one day. He studied journalism at the University of Salamanca, where he met his friend Jason. Now he is a journalist in a travel magazine, where he writes about all his trips.

She is one of the friends of Jason at New York. She is studying at New York University and she is finishing her doctoral thesis about the story of New York City. She is one of the main characters because during Antonio's trip in New York they become very close friends.

He is a friend of Antonio's and he studied with him at the University of Salamanca. Now he is living his dream, because he is living in New York and he is looking for a job as an actor in one of the Broadway's shows.

Chinatown is a neighbourhood in Lower Manhattan, New York City, bordering the Lower East Side to its east, Little Italy to its north, Civic Center to its south, and Tribeca to its west. It is home of the highest concentration of Chinese people in the Western Hemisphere.

Coney Island

Is a peninsular neighbourhood and entertainment area in the southwestern section of the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It is also bounded by Brighton Beach to its east, Lower New York Bay to the south and west, and Gravesend to the north, and includes the subsections of Sea Gate to its west and Brighton Beach to its east.

Central Park

Central Park is an urban park in New York City located between the Upper West and Upper East Sides of Manhattan. It is the fifth-largest park in the city by area, covering 843 acres. It is the most visited urban park in the United States, with an estimated 42 million visitors annually as of 2016, and is the most filmed location in the world.It was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who won a design competition for the park with their "Greensward Plan".

Statue of Liberty

It is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. This was a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, and it was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886.

Personal Opinion

In my opinion A Foreign in New York is a good book, because it is a book that show you a lot of parts of New York and it also tells a life's story, Antonio's story. So while you are entertaining yourself with the story, you are also learning a lot of new places and other hidden places in New York, and you are also learning a lot of facts about all these places. So for all these reasons I really recommend all of you to read this book. And with all the beautiful things and places that it describes it really makes that you want to go to New York right now!
